About
Our Process
New Era Epoxy Flooring in Spring, TX, has raised the bar for epoxy flooring solutions and exceptional customer service. Our floors are unique, beautiful, and long-lasting. Epoxy flooring is one of the most resilient floor coverings there is, easily capable of standing up to high foot traffic without getting damaged. Our work can be found in homes, garages, schools, offices, gymnasiums, and industrial warehouses across Houston.
It Starts with a Call
Take a look at our photo gallery to see how beautiful and unique epoxy floor coatings can be. When you’re ready to get your own flooring done, just give us a call and we’ll be glad to answer any questions you have. Our team will come to your home or business to inspect and measure the workspace. Once that’s finished, we will present you with a no-obligation estimate for the work you want done.
Prep Work
We begin each project by thoroughly sweeping and cleaning the surface we’ll be working with. We wipe it down well to make sure no dirt, dust, or other contaminants get into the workspace. Then we clean the area with soap and water, rinse it, dry it, and give it a final wipe-down before we prepare the area for its epoxy coating.
Etching the Surface
The surface beneath the epoxy should be textured for the best adhesion. There are several ways to do this depending on what type of surface we’re working with. Sand-blasting and acid etching are two possibilities. For concrete floors and counters, we use our professional grade diamond grinding disks to texturize the surface.
Painting or Staining
You can choose any colors you like for your new flooring. We can paint or stain just about any surface before we apply the epoxy resin coating. Acid-stained concrete produces deep, rich colors found in nature to match any color palette. We can use paint to create marble and granite effects on countertops. The choice is yours!
Special Additions
Jazz up your floor, walls, or countertops with metallic flakes, glitter, or swirls of mica. You can choose the color, the coverage, and the style of these additives to make your flooring truly one-of-a-kind. You could have dark countertops that refract the light in prismic colors, white flooring with just a pinpoint of light reflected by metallic flecks, or anything in between. Additives can turn your epoxy surfaces into works of art.
